You may be checking this site because you believe God is calling you to His service. Why Religion?
Every year, the School of Religion teaches over 2,000 undergraduate and a few dozen graduate students courses that lead people to a closer walk with Jesus, a deeper knowledge of His Word, and a life of service on behalf of a sinful world. With over 175 majors, Southern has the largest theological and ministerial education program in North America.
Our Principles
Our aim is a firm commitment to Scripture and a resolute dedication to the mission God has given His remnant church in the world.
What We Offer
In the undergraduate program there are six majors: Theology (ministry), Pastoral Care (chaplaincy), Religious Education (academy Bible teaching), Religious Studies, Archaeology (emphasis in either Classical Studies or Near Eastern Studies) and an associate degree (two-year degree designed to prepare students to be effective in lay ministry as Bible instructor or literature evangelist). There are seven minors available: Archaeology, Biblical Languages, Christian Service, Missions, Practical Theology, Religion, and Youth Ministry. We also offer a Master of Arts in Religion with emphases in Church Leadership and Management, Evangelism, Homiletics, Religious Education, and Religious Studies.
On behalf of our faculty, wlecome to the school of Religion. May God's promise become reality, for He says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; counsel you and watch over you" (Ps 32:8).
If we can be of any help, please don't hesitate to contact us. For His sake,
